Who is Compass Model ?

Everything begins with an engineer & designer of electronic devices which became a model helicopter fever. After 4 years of practicing he became one of the best Hong Kong 3D pilots, another 3 years later he also mastered very well F3C skills. Soon, he found out that it was difficult to find him a suitable helicopter. Typical 3D helis are very crisp but not stable enough, some of them couldn’t even fly a straight fast forward line, Typical F3C helis are very stable, in fact they are too stable,sometimes it takes 20 meters to finish a roll maneuver. And all those helicopters seem to be very expensive especially the metal made ones.

A typical designer thought comes up: we can design a heli which is stable enough for F3C and crisp enough for 3D flying. And we are also able to produce it cheaper. 2004, we (the designer and his son) gathered a team of talent people and they made their first model helicopter named - Knight 50 – and by the same moment a whole bunch of troubles to produce model helicopters starts. It turns out (as always) that making model helicopters was not that easy to do. Soon we discover a new total unknown problem; the designer thought didn’t stops just here. In 2006 we made a 90 sized one because the designer again thinks that we could make an extremely light and extremely high CG helicopter which would be a very good 3D bird. And so we have new plans for future model helicopters because the designer doesn’t stop thinking…
